Welcome Members of the Holbrook family.
As many of you know, Holbrook professionals live for passion and purpose. Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro is the first travel event for The Holbrook Club and we expect this trek to be offered on a regular basis. This dormant volcano is the highest freestanding mountain in the world and has beckoned climbers since the first recorded summit in 1889.
Approximately 25,000 people attempt to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro annually. Individuals of all ages have successfully climbed the mountain and in 2017 Dr. Fred Dislelhorst shattered the record of Angela Volobeva age 86 in 2015.
Holbrook Club members will enjoy group discounts and participate with a group of all ages. Furthermore, members can raise money for a non-profit organization of their choice or through The Holbrook Small Business Incubation Center. The best travel guide will be selected to ensure safety and a quality hike and an added Safari will be an option.
Parks You Can Visit
Our featured partner, Kandoo Adventures offers safaris to four parks on the Northern Circuit in Tanzania for general game viewing and also specialist gorilla trekking safaris in Rwanda. Rwanda is a relatively short flight from Kilimanjaro Airport and trekking with the mountain gorillas is an awesome experience that is more than worth the journey. You can read all about our gorilla treks here.
All of the safaris operated by Kandoo Adventures are private, tailor-made trips. You will have your own custom 4×4 safari vehicle and your own English speaking guide. Click here to view suggested itineraries. Although we plan on most of our team to go on safari AFTER climbing Kilimanjaro, it is not mandatory. If you are looking for a stand-alone safari, we can arrange this for you and have some longer itinerary ideas that are perfect for this.
